Department of Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) Fleet Personnel Engineering has announced Machinist Mechanical, Trainee Machinist Mechanical, Deck Fitter, Trainee Deck Fitter recruitment notification filling 50 posts on direct contract employment 2018. Eligible candidates are study instructions given below and attend walk in Interview on 30.08.2018

Shipping Corporation of India MM, Tr.MM, POM, Tr.POM Notification 2018
a) Min 6 months sailing experience in last 3 yrs from date of selection the rank of machinist mechanical/deck fitter on vessel GRT more than 500
b) Age max 45 yrs for General, for OBC 48 yrs, for SC/ST category 50 yrs
c) For Tr.Fitters (Tr.MM & Tr.POMs) max age 30 yrs for General, 33 yrs for OBC, 35 yrs for SC/ST
d) Must have reported well from his previous vessel/employer
e) Must be medically fit for sea service as per current MS medical rules 2010

Certificates & Documents
Technical Qualification certificates are required for the Machinist Mechanical/Deck Fitter as per Fleet Personnel Guidelines

a) Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or National Trade Certificate in the trade of Machinist Mechanical/Marine Machinist Mechanical or Diesel or Machinist or Motor Mechanic or welder issued by NCTVT or ITI of state govt (ITI)
b) Should be proficient in any of Welding and Cutting or Fabrication and Proficiency in fitting or Lathe, drill and machine operation or Ship related maintenance work
c) Must possession Indian CDC & Passport
d) Should have PAN Card & INDOS NO must be in possession of 4 mandatory certificates Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting, Personal Survival Techniques, Elementary First Aid, Personal Safety and Social Responsibility as per STCW 2010 from DG approved Institutes
e) may be in possession of Helicopter Underwater Escape Training course
f) may be in possession of valid Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from his native place

SCI MM, POM Main Notification

Stipend: All selected Trainee MMs/POMs, prior joining vessel will go through the fitter familiarization traning at NUSI offshore training institute for 3 weeks apporx. Course includes meals, accommodation and pick up from Panvel station. After shore training will be posted on onboard training for six months with consolidated stipend of Rs.10,000 per month
